Levett Scores Quickest Goal in Program History in 2-0 Win at Christian

Box Score LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Hannah Levett scored the quickest goal in University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer history and Michaela Mansfield added a second-half goal as the Mountain Lions (3-3 / 2-1 RMAC) defeated Colorado Christian University (3-2-2 / 0-2-1 RMAC) in a 2-0 shutout tonight at Trailblazer Stadium. It was the first shutout of the season for UCCS goalkeeper Grace Ramsden.

Levett scored the unassisted goal 55 seconds into the game off of the rebound on a shot from Megan Avery. The goal beat the previous record of 1:17 set by Kristin Preble against Adams State on Oct. 19, 2008. Levett moved to within one point of tying the UCCS career points record and within two goals of the career record. She also moved into a tie for eighth in UCCS season records with her fourth goal of the year.

The Mountain Lions out-shot the Cougars 11-3 in the first half and 6-2 in shots on goal for the 1-0 halftime lead. Mansfield scored her goal in the 70th minute for her third goal of the season off a pass from Lo Vylecka.

Ramsden earned the shutout with four saves tonight and moved into fourth in UCCS career records. Her 39 saves also pushed her into seventh in season records.

UCCS will be off on Friday and will be back in the Denver metro area on Sunday for at 2:30 p.m., game at Colorado School of Mines. The Orediggers (5-0-1 / 2-0 RMAC) are ranked fifth in the latest NSCAA national poll and have a 4:30 p.m., game on Friday at Regis.
