Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Hannah Levett scored her seventh game-winning goal of her career in the 52nd minute off a corner kick to lead the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory today against Fort Hays State. Michaela Mansfield scored her second goal of the season to even the score in the 38th minute.

Levett moved into a tie for first in career game-winning goals with Agnes Arnadottir. Levett also moved into a tie for second with Kristen Preble with 18 career goals.

UCCS gave up an early goal to Fort Hays State in the third minute to go down 1-0 early against the Tigers. It was the first shot of the game for either team, and the first of three shots in a three-minute span for Fort Hays State.

Jess Freeze applied the first pressure against the Tiger keeper with a shot on goal in the 22nd minute off a corner kick from Mansfield. The second shot on target resulted in the goal from Mansfield, who tied the game at 1-1 in the 37th minute. Mansfield took the shot from 15 yards out and put it into the lower left corner after a pass from Bailee Jameson. The Mountain Lions kept the Fort Hays State offense at bay with no shots in the final 15 minutes and took the 1-1 tie into halftime.

Levett's goal came just the six-minute mark of the second half, and it was part of a strong offensive period for the Mountain Lions. UCCS out-shot the Tigers 10-3 in the final 45 minutes, although Fort Hays State was selective with all three of its shots on target. Grace Ramsden recorded four saves for UCCS in the game, and the team added one more save to keep the Tigers off the board and preserve the 2-1 victory.

The win improved UCCS to 4-0 all-time against Fort Hays State.

The Mountain Lions will open the 2014 conference season at home on Friday night against Adams State. The Grizzlies (1-3) lost in their final non-conference game 1-0 at Lubbock Christian last Thursday.
