Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs trailed for only point at 4-3 in the first set, but never trailed again in a three-set victory against Alaska in the Steel & Silver Classic. The Mountain Lions (3-4) won their third straight match with a 25-20, 25-20 and 25-18 victory against the Nanooks (0-7).
Kim Catlett led both teams with 16 kills and four service aces to lead the UCCS offense. The Mountain Lions improved their team hitting in each of the three sets and peaked with a .368 team performance in the third set.
Jenna Utter made a season-high four blocks to lead the defense. Catlett added eight digs and combined with Utter for one of the seven team blocks.
