Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The No. 18 University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team improved to 4-0 for the first time in program history with a 76-55 win against crosstown opponent Colorado College tonight in the Gallogly Events Center. The Mountain Lions shot greater than 50 percent from the field for the third straight game with 54.9 percent against the Tigers.

Alex Welsh scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, in a night that saw limited playing time for the starters.
TreShawn Wilford finished one rebound and one point of a double-double and led both teams with his nine rebounds.
UCCS scored on three straight posssessions to turn an 8-5 deficit into an 11-8 lead five minutes into the game. An 8-0 Mountain Lion run later in the half put UCCS ahead by 10 points at 23-13 with 8:31 left in the period, and UCCS held a double-digit lead for the rest of the game starting at the 7:07 mark in the half.
The starters averaged just under six minutes of playing time in the second half, and Billingsley scored seven points in the first three minutes to lead the UCCS scoring in the half. Wilford led both teams with five rebounds and three assists during the half.
The 4-0 start for the season surpasses the 3-1 starts of 2013-14, 2007-08, 2006-07 and 1997-98. UCCS is one of three 4-0 teams in the RMAC along with MSU Denver and Fort Lewis, and one of five in the South Central Region when expanding to include Angelo State in the Lone Star Conference and St. Edward's in the Heartland Conference.
The Mountain Lions will have a quick turnaround for a Tuesday night road game at Oklahoma Panhandle State. The Aggies (1-3) lost to Northern New Mexico 106-96 on Thursday night.
