Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team out-shot Colorado State University-Pueblo 23-10, but a ThunderWolf goal with less than 10 minutes to play was the difference in a 1-0 decision at Mountain Lion Stadium. UCCS (9-8-1 / 8-6 RMAC) will be the fifth seed in the RMAC Tournament and will play a road game on Wednesday.
James Roberts and
Luke Chapman each took four shots with one on-goal, as the Mountain Lions finished with their third straight game with 20 or more shots.
Austin Bell and
Mathew Cox each took three shots on goal to lead UCCS to 14 shots on goal, one off of the season-high set two days ago against Colorado Christian.
David Meyer made five saves for UCCS, with four in the second half. He is still in position to break the UCCS single-season record with a 0.82 goals-against average.
UCCS has allowed one goal or less for the eighth time in the last nine games, and will enter the RMAC tournament with a 7-2 record since Oct. 5. The Mountain Lions will compete in the conference postseason tournament for the fourth straight season and the 13th time in program history.
