Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs volleyball team snapped a seven-match losing streak with a three-set sweep of Colorado Christian University tonight in the Gallogly Events Center. The Mountain Lions (10-15 / 6-10 RMAC) won in 25-11, 25-18 and 25-21 sets against the Cougars (16-10, 8-7 RMAC) behind a 16-kill, five-block performance from Lauren Hahn.

UCCS hit .419 in the first set and finished with a season-high .312 for the match. The Mountain Lions never trailed in the first and second sets, and the 25-11 win the first set was the largest margin of victory in any set this season.

Both teams played closer in the third set with six ties and three lead changes, but a 4-0 run for the Mountain Lions marked the final lead change for UCCS for the first sweep win in nearly four weeks. The win tonight almost moved the Mountain Lions one-and-a-half matches out of a RMAC tournament berth with two matches left in the regular season.

Hahn hit .406 for her second match this season at .400 or greater and matched her season-high in blocks. Cassidy Bush added 10 kills for her third straight match with double-digit kills and made four blocks on defense. Kim Catlett and Natasha Habert recorded 13 and 12 digs, respectively, and Morgan Evans made 31 assists for her best three-set match since the first meeting with Colorado Christian on Oct. 11.

The Mountain Lions will enjoy Saturday off to prepare for the final regular season weekend at home. UCCS will face Chadron State on Nov. 7, and close out the regular season on Nov. 8, with Black Hills State.
