10/26/2014 4:37:00 PM

Box Score DURANGO, Colo. – Brooke Tominello and Michaela Mansfield each took three shots, with Tominello getting one shot on goal in the first half, in a 2-0 loss for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team (6-9 / 5-7 RMAC) to Fort Lewis (6-5-5 / 5-3-4 RMAC) today at Dirks Field.

The Mountain Lions remain sixth in the conference standings with a potential bid to the postseason tournament still possible after the conclusion of today's games. UCCS is one point ahead of Colorado State-Pueblo after the ThunderWolves win today against Colorado Christian. The Mountain Lions have two games left, including the regular-season finale against CSU-Pueblo on Nov. 2.

UCCS held the Skyhawks to six shots on goal, the lowest for a Mountain Lion opponent since five shots in the first meeting with Fort Lewis on Oct. 10. Grace Ramsden made four saves in the net for 82 saves this season, and is five short from entering the top five in UCCS record books.

Tominello's three shots was her season high, and Mansfield improved her season total for shots to 49 to move within two shots of third in UCCS season records. Eight different Mountain Lions accounted for the 12 shots today.

UCCS will close out the regular season road schedule on Oct. 31, in a 4:30 p.m., game at New Mexico Highlands. The Cowgirls (9-3-4 / 6-2-4 RMAC) tied MSU Denver 1-1 today.
