Madison Palmer ended the set in a 25-23 Mountain Lion victory.
UCCS didn't trail in the second set to take a 2-0 match lead on a 25-21 victory, and led in the third set until South Dakota Mines scored five straight to take a 12-10 advantage. A kill from
Morgan Evans sparked a small three-point run to put the Mountain Lions back ahead at 13-12. The Hardrockers tied it again at 13-13, but wouldn't be able to regain the lead as UCCS won the third set 25-20 for the second straight 3-0 victory.
