COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team (3-4 / 2-2 RMAC) will go for their first three-game winning streak since 2009 when the Mountain Lions host No. 23 Colorado Mines (5-1-2 / 2-0-2 RMAC) tonight at 5 p.m. in Mountain Lion Stadium.
UCCS is coming off a strong offensive performance in the second half at Adams State on Wednesday in the 2-0 victory against the Grizzlies and an upset victory on Sunday at Fort Lewis. The wins have moved the Mountain Lions into a tie for fourth in the conference standings as the RMAC reaches the halfway point of the season next Friday.
Colorado Mines is coming off an 8-0 victory on Sunday against Colorado Christian and a 1-0 win against Metro State last Friday. The Orediggers haven't won a road game this season, but have managed ties in their only road games at Colorado State-Pueblo and Fort Lewis.
In three meetings last season, the teams won on their respective home fields. In the only meeting last season in Colorado Springs, the Mountain Lions used double overtime in a 3-2 victory against the Orediggers after goals from
