SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer (0-1) will wrap up its California road trip this afternoon with a contest against California State-Stanislaus (1-0). The game begins at noon MDT at Dominican University's Kennelly Field.
The game was a rescheduled contest for the Mountain Lions, who were originally scheduled to play Humboldt State today. The game was canceled after Humboldt's season was suspended by the university president because of a serious hazing incident early last month.
UCCS will look to even its record against the Warriors, who won their opening-game 2-1 Thursday night against Fresno Pacific. Both of Cal State-Stanislaus' goals came off of corner kicks, with the defense giving up the Fresno Pacific goal in the final three minutes.
The Mountain Lions' picked up their offense in the second half against California State-East Bay on Thursday, with
Mash Shaswar leading the team with two shots on goal against the Pioneers.
