Mountain Lions Play for First Home Playoff Game in Program History

DENVER, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (8-7-1 / 7-5-1 RMAC) will take on Metro State (10-6-1 / 7-5-1 RMAC) for the chance to host a home playoff game for the first time in program history when the teams meet at 2:30 p.m. at Auraria Field in downtown Denver.

The Mountain Lions and Roadrunners are tied for third in the conference standings and are both one point ahead Colorado Mesa and two points ahead of Fort Lewis. A win would guarantee a third seed in the upcoming RMAC tournament and a home game with the sixth seed in Mountain Lion Stadium on Wednesday.

UCCS is averaging three goals over the last four games, led by James Roberts' four goals in that span. All four of his goals this season have come since Oct. 12, and he earned RMAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after a three-goal performance against Adams State and Fort Lewis to close out the home season.

The Roadrunners are on a four-game unbeaten streak, with three of those games against the two teams at the bottom of the RMAC standings. Metro State is eighth in the latest NSCAA South Central Regional poll. Danny Arrubla and Marc Herschberger both had double-digit goals for Metro State this season and are both ranked among the top four goal scorers in the RMAC this season.

The game will be available on a video stream from America One Networks for $8. Live stats will be also be active at game time.
