The UCCS women's volleyball team falls to No. 24 ranked Adams State 3-1(19-25, 25-17, 27-29, 18-25) on Friday night. With the loss, the Mountain Lions drop to 12-6 overall 7-3 RMAC.
Senior Setter Lindsey Stich recorded seven digs and 18 assists in the match Stich moves into 8th all-time in assists at UCCS with 1421 career assists. Stich passes Jessica Bryant (1995-1996) who had 1414.
UCCS was led in the match by
Nikki Kinzer who finished the match with 10 kills, nine block assists, eight digs, and one service ace. Kinzer currently ranks 2nd all-time in block assists at UCCS, needing just 28 more to become 1st.
Amy Einspahr added 10 kills with six block assists and one dig. Freshmen
Kim Catlett and
Jordan Banich collaborated for 17 kills on 73 team attacks, with 15 digs and three service aces.
Freshman
Amanda Bloom ties a career-high with seven block assists and finishes with the only solo block of the game. Bloom also added three kills and five digs.
Up Next: The Mountain Lions will travel to Pueblo, Colo. Saturday night to take on the CSU-P Thunderwolves (11-10, 2-8 RMAC). UCCS has won the previous seven meeting with CSU-P, dating back to September 9, 2006.
