DENVER -
Sonja Johnson's 12 kills weren't enough to prevent the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs from dropping its third straight match, this one a 3-2 (23-25, 25-16, 25-18, 23-25, 15-9) defeat Saturday evening at the hands of the Metro State Roadrunners.
Trailing two sets to one, the Mountain Lions never trailed in the fourth set but also never led by more than four. The set was tied 10 times, the final one at 23, before a kill by Alex Nuttall and a Roadrunner hitting error evened the match.
