DENVER - The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs' three-game winning streak ended Sunday as the Mountain Lions were beaten by 3-1 the Regis Rangers at Regis Field.

Julia Saenz scored the Mountain Lions, who dropped to 6-6, 5-6 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Kayla Millar's streak of three consecutive shutouts came to an end. The freshman from Broomfield made seven saves in the losing effort.

Saenz gave UCCS the lead with an unassisted goal in the 42nd minute. She nailed a difficult angle shot from the right wing that sailed into the near corner. UCCS took the lead into the intermission.

Marissa Davis scored the equalizer just under eight minutes into the second half.

The score remained tied until the 76:41 mark, when Kari Davis was the recipient of a bang-bang Jordan Miller-to-Mallory Pillard pass.

Trailing by only one, the Mountain Lions pushed more players into the attack. With just 37 seconds remaining, Miller took advantage of that gamble for her 13th goal of the season.

Nicole Eddings got the win in goal for Regis (11-3-2, 8-2-2 RMAC), making two saves while playing the second half in relief of starter Rosie Campbell, who made one save.

The same teams will meet in Colorado Springs on Wednesday in a make-up for the match originally scheduled for Oct. 11.
