PORTALES, N.M. --
Bobby Cinea and Isak Tengesdal scored less than four minutes apart as the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs staged a spirited comeback from a three-goal deficit only to fall short in a 4-2 loss the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds Sunday.
Having spotted Eastern New Mexico (2-1) to a three-goal advantage -- all in the first half -- the Mountain Lions (0-2) finally scored 2:29 into the second half. Dami Oladiran slid a pass to Cinea, who knocked it past ENMU goalkeeper Leif Craddock.
Just 3 minutes, 14 seconds later,
Bryan Stoeber drew the defense toward himself before finding Tengesdal. The scores were the first career goals for Cinea and Tengesdal, who are both freshmen.
The Greyhounds scored the clincher in the 63rd minute when Cesareo Conyreras knocked in a corner kick by Ryan McClanahan.
UCCS goalkeeper
Michael Bergren (0-1) made seven first-half saves and eight overall.
