The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs volleyball team hit a season-high .366 Saturday in a 3-0 (30-19, 30-18, 30-21) win over the Colorado Christian Cougars at Lakewood.

Eight Mountain Lions registered four or more kills and all but one hit .294 or better.

Diane Sheldon led UCCS (12-11, 9-6 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) with 11 kills while also adding eight digs, two solo blocks and an assisted bock. Brooke Akers added nine kills, three solo blocks and two assisted blocks and Andrea Weedman had seven kills and 10 digs.

The Mountain Lions have now won eight of their past 10 matches.

Trisha Witkop led Colorado Christian (4-21, 1-14) with six kills.

UCCS led 16-14 in Game 1 when two kills each by Akers and Jill Wrenn sparked a 10-3 run that put it out of reach.

Game 2 was tied at eight when the Mountain Lions went on a 12-2 run thanks to Akers and Sheldon putting up three blocks and two kills by Wrenn.

Colorado Christian came back from an early seven-point deficit in Game 3 to close to 18-15. Two kills and a block by Weedman helped UCCS score the next four points and cruise to the sweep.
