The Nebraska-Kearney Lopers subjected the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs to a bit of turnabout Saturday night.
Nebraska-Kearney defeated the Mountain Lions 3-0 (30-12, 30-13, 30-12), holding UCCS to an -.083 hitting percentage. The Mountain Lions had swept their previous three matches, holding two opponents to a negative hitting mark and the other to .009.
The loss dropped UCCS to 14-8, 9-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The No. 2-ranked Lopers improved to 22-1, 13-0 RMAC.
All-American Erin Gudmundson was dominant for UNK with 16 kills and a .556 hitting mark.
Jill Wrenn shared the UCCS lead in kills with six and was the only Mountain Lion with a positive hitting percentage.
Diane Sheldon also had six kills, while
Laura Meeter had a team-high nine digs.
The Mountain Lions will play at Fort Hays State on Sunday.
