Ryan Slaughter and
Tim Laxson each scored his first collegiate goal Friday as the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs men's soccer team defeated Colorado School of Mines 4-1 at 4-Diamond Complex.
CU-Colorado Springs gained a 1-0 lead as
Adrian Marrero scored in the seventh minute off a feed from
Fred Brown. Behar notched his goal in the 59th minute to give the Mountain Lions a 2-0 margin. After Marc Miller closed the game to 2-1 with a goal for Mines in the 67th minute, Slaughter and Laxson scored for CU-Colorado Srings in the 72nd and 90th minute, respectively.
Goalie
Brandon Horoba made three saves for CU-Colorado Springs, now 2-1, while Alex Habliston made four saves for the Orediggers, also 2-1.
