CU-Colorado Springs defeats Southern Colorado 3-1 in men's soccer

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Adrian Marrero scored two goals and Matt Bolton added two assists to lead the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs men's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over the University of Southern Colorado Wednesday at 4-Diamond Complex.

Marrero opened the scoring the 43rd minute by knocking a header past USC goalie Jensen Huddleston off a free kick from Bolton. Marrero then iced the game with 1:22 left by taking a goal kick from Bolton and driving past the USC defense and Huddleston. Rob Weber also added an unassisted goal for the Gold in the 81st minute.

Mike Archuleta made six saves for CU-Colorado Springs, now 9-2-1 overall this season and 7-1-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Ryan Billiett scored the lone goal for USC off a corner kick. Adam Tajan recorded the assist. Huddleston made seven saves for the Thunderwolves, now 5-9-1 overall and 1-7 in the RMAC.
