Patrick Skakel was named the RMAC Men's Golfer of the Week after a top-five performance at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational on Sept. 15-16. He shot a 210 during the 54-hole tournament in Amarillo, Texas.

Skakel recorded his second top-five finish in his career with a career-best tournament score at six strokes under par. He recorded his best round of the tournament on Monday morning with a 69 to match his single-best round in his career.

Skakel led four Mountain Lions who finished the tournament below par. UCCS recorded a team score of 849 for 15 strokes below par, good for 25 strokes better than the nearest RMAC team in the tournament.
