Stephen Cook finished second at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout on Monday and Tuesday with a three-round score of 221. It was his best tournament score since the Western New Mexico Fall Intercollegiate last September, his fourth top-five finish of his UCCS career and his best placement since the Dallas Baptist Classic in April 2014.

Cook led the Mountain Lions to a sixth-place finish at the Pioneer Shootout on the same course that will host the regional championships next month. UCCS was third in the first regional ranking from the NCAA.
