David Kimaiyo ran a provisional qualifying time in the 1,500-meter run for the first time of the outdoor season last Friday at Colorado Mines, with an altitude-adjusted time of 3 minutes, 48.70 seconds. His time was No. 26 in the Division II performance lists,and advanced to the national championships with the 19th fastest seed time. Kimaiyo will run in the preliminaries on May 26, in Bradenton, Fla.
