COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of Colorado Colorado Springs former assistant volleyball coach JJ Glavan will become an assistant coach for Division I New Mexico. The announcement was made by Lobos Head Coach Jeff Nelson on Monday.

Glavan spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach for the Mountain Lions, where he assisted in training, scouting, game strategy development and recruiting. UCCS was 34-23 in his two seasons and 17-8 at home.

"We would love to see JJ stay, but this is a great opportunity for him and we wish him the very best in Albuquerque," said UCCS Head Volleyball Coach Chrissy Elder. "He has left his mark on Mountain Lion volleyball and his presence on the team will be missed."

UCCS volunteer assistant coach and former New Mexico Highlands assistant coach Alfred Agcaoili will be the interim assistant coach. The Mountain Lions open against Lubbock Christian on Sept. 6 at the West Texas A&M Lady Buff Classic.
