T-Shirts, Lift Tickets On Tap for Whiteout Weekend

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs volleyball team will open the 2013 home season and begin the RMAC schedule this Friday and Saturday during Whiteout Weekend events on the UCCS campus.

1:50 p.m. - Katie Bartlett
2 p.m. - Jordan Banich
2:10 p.m. - Bre Bliss
2:20 p.m. - Kim Catlett
2:30 p.m. - Cassidy Bush

Events begin on Thursday on the West Lawn with a chance to Dunk a Mountain Lion from 12:10-2:30 p.m. Fans can purchase three balls for $1 to dunk a member of the volleyball team, who will be in the dunk tank for 10-20 minute shifts.

The first 400 students to the match on Friday night will receive free Whiteout t-shirts. Action in the Gallogly Events Center begins at 7 p.m., against Colorado Christian in the first conference match of the season. The Mountain Lions won their first 10 home matches of the 2012 season and will be looking for the third win against the Cougars in the last four matches.

Students who wear their Whiteout t-shirt to Saturday's game against No. 19 Colorado Mines will have the chance to win two pairs of lift tickets to Monarch Mountain. The match begins at 7 p.m., in the Gallogly Events Center, and the ticket drawing will take place between the second and third sets against the Orediggers.

All regular season home events are free for UCCS students, faculty, staff and alumni.
