COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of Colorado Colorado Springs volleyball will hold its first Fall Festival Aug. 30 at Big R on 840 Spanish Bit Drive in Colorado Springs. The free festival begins at 4 p.m.

The family-focused event begins with the kids clinic and follows with the family carnival and "Meat and Greet" hot dog roast from 5-7 p.m.  Hot dogs will be available for $1 each, and kids will be able to meet with members of the Mountain Lion volleyball team, who will also be signing schedule posters during the event.

The carnival includes face painting, photo booth, bounce house and slide and dunk tank. Parents will be able to enter for chances to win massages, manicures and gear from Subaru, Big R and UCCS.

UCCS began fall practices Monday with two-a-day workouts with two starters and its libero returning from last season's RMAC tournament appearance. Head Coach Chrissy Elder will open her first season with the Mountain Lions on Sept. 6 at the West Texas A&M Lady Buff Classic in Canyon, Texas.
