UCCS beats Fort Lewis 3-1

UCCS beats Fort Lewis College 3-1( 25-21, 17-25, 25-23, 25-6), at the 2012 Mountain Lion Invitational on Saturday. 

The Mountain Lion's balanced approach has led them to another victory on their home court improving to 3-0 at home, and 4-3 overall.

Seniors Amy EInspahr, Nikki Kinzer, and Megan Koop led the Mountain Lion offense collaborating on 27 total kills.

Einspahr led the team in kills with 12 and team attacks with 27. Einspahr also added six block assists with one assist and one dig.

Kinzer finished with eight kills and game highs of seven block assists and one solo block.

Megan Koop added seven kills with five block assists.

Freshman Kim Catlett also added to the Mountain Lions overall game recording seven kills with 11 digs and one block assist.

Senior setter Lindsey Stich had a well rounded game as well, finishing with a team-high 19 assists, adding 15 digs. 

Her counterpart Grace Gordon finished with 15 assists and eight digs.

Katie Maguire also helped lead the Mountain Lion defense to victory with 15 digs.
