Volleyball camp ready to accept record numbers

By Doug Fitzgerald published April 24, 2006

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs volleyball coach Jessica Wood announced Monday that the UCCS volleyball camps will be able to accommodate a record number of participants this year.

Thanks to an agreement with Colorado Springs Christian School, the camp will now have four courts, allowing the camp to double in size from previous years. The additional space was needed because some prospective campers had to be turned away last year.

The camp, which will be held July 24-27, will be skill-intensive. Coaches Wood, Jeremy Sands and Stephanie Shalosky, along with many members of the Mountain Lions volleyball team, will be the instructors.
