November 9, 2003Volleyball ends season on the roadThe University of Colorado at Colorado Springs volleyball lost two games on the road over the weekend brining its season to end.CU-Colorado Springs lost to the Western State Mountaineers 30-26, 30-28, 30-13 on Friday in Gunnison before losing to the Mesa State Mavericks 27-30, 30-28, 30-14, 30-20 Saturday night in Grand Junction.
November 5, 2003Colorado College beats up on the Mountain Lionshe University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (5-22) lost to Colorado College (26-9) in three games at Reid Gymnasium Tuesday night. The Tigers trounced the Mountain Lions 30-27, 30-21, and 30-19.The win gave Colorado College its first sweep in the season-series with the Mountain Lions since 1996. The Tigers beat CU-Colorado Springs in three games in the Lions’ Den back on Sept 17.
November 1, 2003Fort Lewis completes season sweep of Mountain LionsLaurie Dressel had a game-high 15 kills and the Fort Lewis Skyhawks had 10 service aces in completing a season sweep of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Mountain Lions with a 3-0 victory Saturday night at the Lions' Den.
October 31, 2003Mountain Lions fall in four gamesThe University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (5-21, 3-14 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) lost in four games to the Adams State Grizzlies 15-9, 9-7 RMAC).Adams State dominated Game 1 out hitting the Mountain Lions .364 to 0.87. The Grizzlies built a large lead before a late CU-Colorado Springs run made the score respectable 30-24.

October 24, 2003Mountain Lions make it two it a row, beat ThunderwolvesFor the first time since November of 2001, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (5-19, 3-13 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) has won two straight games after knocking off Colorado State-Pueblo (6-17, 4-10 RMAC) Friday night in the Lions’ Den. The Mountain Lions beat the Thunderwolves in three games, 30-18, 30-21, 30-28.

The Mountain Lions lost in three games to Chadron State (15-5, 7-5) on Friday and to Colorado Mines (7-12, 3-8) on Saturday.

October 3, 2003Volleyball loses sixth straightColorado Christian (5-10, 2-5 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) defeated the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (3-13, 1-6) volleyball team in four games Friday night at the Lions’ Den. CU-Colorado Springs won the opening game 30-20, before losing 22-30, 20-30, and 23-20.
September 27, 2003Lions can't survive Game 5For the fifth time in their past seven matches, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs volleyball team played well enough to force a deciding fifth game. For the fourth time in those five matches, they couldn't pull out the win.The Mesa State Mavericks beat the Mountain Lions 3-2 Saturday evening at the Lions’ Den. The loss dropped CU-Colorado Springs to 3-12 overall, 1-5 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while Mesa State improved to 6-8, 3-3.

Having already lost two 6-footers, Desiree Myhre and Kelly Olson, the Mountain Lions now have more coaches and trainers (three) occupying courtside seats that players (two).The Fort Lewis Skyhawks and the Adams State Grizzlies took advantage of CU-Colorado Springs' misfortune this past weekend, with Adams State defeating the Mountain Lions 3-1 on Friday, and Fort Lewis taking an 3-2 heartbreaker Saturday.

At the Quality Inn Thunderwolf Classic in Pueblo, CU-Colorado Springs defeated Abilene Christian and lost to Texas A&M Commerce, Incarnate Word, and Central Oklahoma.
August 30, 2003Women's Volleyball opens season in DurangoThe University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (1-3) won one and lost three matches this past weekend at the Fort Lewis tournament in Durango.CU-Colorado Springs lost to Fort Lewis (22-30, 29-31, 27-30) and Biola (17-30, 16-30, 24-30) on Friday and to Madonna (13-30, 32-30, 23-30, 22-30) on Saturday before beating Michigan-Dearborn (30-20, 30-22, 30-21) later that day.
