In the team scores UCCS finished 6th on both the men’s and women’s sides equaling the 6th place finishes by both programs at last year’s championships. | |
| February 13, 2012 | Three Days, Four States, Two Meets, and another National Qualifier | Matt Cameron followed up his impressive performance in New Mexico last weekend with another national qualifying mark at the Grand Valley State Big Meet in Allendale, Michigan on Friday. Cameron, who currently sits fifth in the country in the 800 meter run, bettered the provisional standard in the mile by running 4:12.89 amongst stiff competition in Michigan. The performance moves Cameron to #2 all-time for UCCS behind only Moses Tum, a former national champion for the Mountain Lions. | |

He competed in five events, broke two individual school records and was a member of tonight’s school record 4x400 meter relay team. Elliott’s night went as follows; fourth in the 60 meter hurdles with a school record 8.67 time, winner in the 300 meter with a school record time of 35.61, 12th in the high jump with a mark of 1.74 meters and 12th in the long jump with a mark of 6.17 meters.
