Urban Leads Mountain Lions at New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Alexa Urban finished third among Division II runners and fifth overall in the 800-meter run to lead the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's track and field team at the Don Kirby Tailwind Invitational today at the University of New Mexico. She was also the second leg on the 4x400-meter relay team that turned in a season-best time to close the meet.

Urban finished in an altitude-adjusted time of 2:17.49 and finished the day ranked second in the RMAC performance lists. Amber McAfee finished in an adjusted time of 2:22.63 to place No. 13 overall today and rank sixth in the conference.

Alex Colvin cleared a provisional qualifying height of 11-9 ¾ and finished fourth in the pole vault early in the day. She finished second among Division II vaulters and finished ahead of five Division I student-athletes.

Jessica Todd finished second in her heat in the 400-meter hurdles with an adjusted time of 1:08.43. It was one-hundredth of a second off from her season-best time from the Colorado Mines Division II Front Range Invitational last Saturday.

The Mountain Lions will continue the season next Saturday at the Colorado Invitational in Boulder, Colo.
