Aberle Qualifies for Nationals in 800-Meter Run

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Carson Aberle will represent the University of Colorado Colorado Springs as a qualifier in the 800-meter run for the 2013 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 23-25 at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl at Colorado State-Pueblo.

Aberle will run in the preliminaries at 5:45 p.m., on May 24, for a spot in the finals at 7:05 p.m., on May 25. He qualified with his RMAC-winning time of 1:50.88 on May 7 and is the only RMAC runner in the field. Aberle has the second-fastest time in UCCS history behind All-American Moses Tum's time of 1:50.68 from 2005.

An all-session pass for the national championships will be $25, and will be good for all three days of the championships in Pueblo, Colo. Live results and video will be available for all three days at NCAA.com.
