DMR Finishes Third on First Night of Mines Twilight

GOLDEN, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's distance medley relay team finished third with an altitude and track adjusted time 10 minutes, 23.37 seconds on the first night of the Colorado Mines Twilight Open tonight.

Carson Aberle, Jonathan Wright, Kyle McCloskey and Matt Winfrey unofficially ran the fifth-fastest time in the conference and No. 10 time in Division II this season. The Mountain Lions came within six seconds of the NCAA provisional qualifying time in the first medley relay of the season. 

The rest of the UCCS team will be in action on Saturday at the Mines Twilight Open in Golden. The first events featuring UCCS student-athletes will begin at 12:20 p.m.
