Aberle Wins 600-Yard Run at Boulder
BOULDER, Colo. - Carson Aberle won the 600-yard run by more than a minute and led collegiate runners by more than three seconds to lead the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's indoor track and field team at the Potts Invitational today at CU-Boulder. He also ran the leadoff leg on the 4x400-meter relay team that finished fourth in the results.
Aberle ran 1 minute, 14.55 seconds in the win for the second-fastest time in program history. Kyle McCloskey finished third overall and second among collegiate runners with 1:17.85 to win the second heat, and was followed by Matt Winfrey and Justin Bills in the same heat. The four Mountain Lions ran in the relay team that finished in 3:35.80.
Up Next: UCCS will be off next week before returning to the track at the Colorado Mines Twilight Meet on Feb. 1.
