NEW ORLEANS - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's track and field team earned Scholar Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the sixth consecutive year. The Mountain Lions also had six student-athletes earn individual All-Academic awards.

Alyssa Andrews, Megan Burrell, Alex Colvin, Melanie Diep and Angie Martell each earned All-Academic awards with a national qualifying mark and a cumulative grade point average above 3.25. The five Mountain Lion scholar-athletes in a single year is the most since available records start in 2006.

Colvin became the fifth student-athlete in UCCS history and the first from the cross country and track and field program to earn Capital One Academic All-America honors. Colvin was a third team selection after she placed No. 10 in the pole vault at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She is second in UCCS records for the indoor and outdoor pole vault and is a two-time RMAC indoor champion.
