SHAWNEE, Okla. - Alex Colvin improved on her provisional qualifying mark in the pole vault and moved into No. 10 in the national performance lists for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's track and field team at the SAC Conference Challenge at Oklahoma Baptist.
Colvin cleared 12 feet, 4 ¾ inches to win the event today. It's her second win of the season in as many weekends and she improved on her season-best height by 1 ¼ inches. Colvin also built a nine-inch advantage in the RMAC performance lists with one weekend left before the conference championships.
The Mountain Lions will send student-athletes to the Colorado Mines Pre-Conference Meet in Golden, Colo., next Saturday as the final tune-up before the conference championships in Golden May 6-8.
