Urban Provisionally Qualifies in 800-Meter Run at Clay Invite

AZUSA, Calif. - Alexa Urban finished seventh among Division II runners and ran a provisional qualifying time in the 800-meter run for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's outdoor track and field team today at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific.

Urban ran 2 minutes, 14.25 seconds to lower her season best in the event by more than three seconds. Her time came within four-tenths of a second of her program record set last season. She unofficially stands with the second-fastest time in the RMAC this season.

Amber McAfee also ran at the Bryan Clay Invite and finished in a personal best time of 2:19.03. She finished fourth in her heat and was the top Division II finisher in the section.

The Mountain Lion women's track and field team continues action tonight with 5,000-meter run at the Mt. SAC Relays. Megan Burrell will start at 11:33 p.m. MDT.
