COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs will begin the 2013 University of Colorado Boulder Potts Invitational Friday afternoon when defending RMAC champion Alex Colvin competes in the pole vault at Balch Fieldhouse. Colvin will begin competition at 3 p.m.
Colvin has been the only Mountain Lion in action during the indoor season, and has the third-best pole vault in the conference in two meets. Her 10 feet, 11 ¾ inches at the Nebraska-Kearney Pre-Holiday Invitational on Dec. 8 is six inches off of the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark of 11-5 ¾.
Colvin won the conference championship last season with an indoor career-best of 11-9 ¾ that tied for second in the UCCS program records.
The rest of the Mountain Lions will begin action on Saturday afternoon on the track at Balch Fieldhouse.
