English Nearly Matches Personal Best in 10K at Mt. SAC Relays
WALNUT, Calif. - Mike English ran within four seconds of his personal best of the 10,000-meter run to close out the first day of the 55th Mt. SAC Relays for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's outdoor track and field team.
English finished in 31:20.22 and finished No. 32 in his heat in the final race on the track tonight. The time is 3.03 seconds off of his personal best, which ranks fourth in UCCS program records. His time unofficially ranks sixth in the RMAC performance lists based on the races tonight at Mt. SAC.
Sam Feldotto finished the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:40.08 earlier today to finish No. 18 in his heat. He was ranked No. 11 in the RMAC going into this weekend with an altitude-adjusted time of 9:34.44 at the Colorado Mines Division II Front Range Invitational in late March.
The Mountain Lions will continue action tomorrow at the Mt. SAC Relays in the 800-meter and 5,000-meter runs. UCCS will also have runners competing in the 5,000-meter run at the Western State Invitational in Gunnison, Colo., in nine events at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif.
