Feldotto, English to Open Mt. SAC Relays for UCCS Today
WALNUT, Calif. - Sam Feldotto and Mike English will compete with some of the greatest athletes in the world and in the nation when they compete in the first day of the 55th Mt. SAC Relays today for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Feldotto will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 4:45 p.m. MDT while English will run the 10,000-meter run at 11:10 p.m. MDT.
Feldotto won the steeplechase at the Colorado Mines Front Range Invitational on March 30 and came within a half-second of a top-five time in UCCS history. His altitude-adjusted time of 9:34.44 ranks No. 11 in the RMAC, which has featured at least three All-Americans in the event in the last three seasons.
English will compete in the final race of the night in the 10,000-meter run. He'll be the first Mountain Lion to run a 10K this season during the outdoor season. English ran the fourth-fastest time in UCCS history last season with 31:17.19 at the Drake Relays.
Flotrack will provide video coverage of both races today.
