UCCS Adds Spring Break Meets

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs outdoor track and field teams will send student-athletes to three meets this weekend as student-athletes compete before returning to campus from the spring break. UCCS will compete in three different time zones on Friday and Saturday.

The Mountain Lions will have student-athletes in distance races at the Washington University Invitational on Friday in St. Louis. Luke Dakin will compete in his first 10,000-meter run of his collegiate career, while Mike English will run in the 5,000-meter run. Madison Neher will compete in the 5,000-meter run.

UCCS will also have three runners on the west coast on Friday at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival. David Marino will compete in the 5,000-meter run and Tam Ryder will run the 1,500 meters in the morning. Alyssa Andrews will also compete in the 5,000-meter run.

The Mountain Lions will send several student-athletes to the Colorado Mines Division II Front Range Invitational on Saturday in Golden. The Orediggers will release an updated schedule on Friday once entry fields become more apparent.
