UCCS Eighth in Preseason Outdoor Poll
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's outdoor track and field team was picked eighth in the 2013 RMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll released this afternoon. The Mountain Lions finished two points in the balloting behind Metro State and five points behind Colorado Mesa.
UCCS opened the outdoor season last Saturday at the University of Colorado Boulder Jerry Quiller Classic. Carson Aberle ran the third-fastest time in Division II this season in the 800-meter run and Alan Ford ran the second-fastest time in the conference for the 400-meter dash.
The Mountain Lions finished sixth at last year's outdoor conference championships and eighth at the indoor championships in February.
