Mountain Lions to Compete at Benich Invitational Saturday
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs outdoor track and field team will travel to the University of Northern Colorado for the Tom Benich Invitational on Saturday, March 23. The addition of the meet was made after Colorado State-Pueblo informed coaches that it would not host a meet this weekend.
The Mountain Lions will one of several teams moving to Greeley, Colo., this weekend. The NCAA requires teams to compete in at least four meets with at least 14 student-athletes per team in order to satisfy minimum requirements to qualify for the national championships.
Northern Colorado will release an updated schedule of events later this week to account for the additional teams and athletes.
