Men's Track Opens Season at Boulder
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's indoor track and field team will open its 2012-13 season this afternoon when 12 Mountain Lions compete at the University of Colorado Boulder Potts Invitational. The first events featuring Mountain Lion runners will begin at 2 p.m. at Balch Fieldhouse.
Ten Mountain Lions will compete in the 600-yard run at 4:25 p.m., including three of the top four fastest runners in program history for the event. Jonathan Wright, an All-RMAC performer last year in the 400-meter dash, holds the record with 1:23.06 in 2011. Anthony Davis, an all-conference performer in the 800-meter run last year, has the third-fastest time with 1:15.37, while Travis Whitman has the fourth-fastest time with 1:16.06
Chad Liscar, the UCCS record-holder in the 60-meter dash, will compete in the 60-meter dash preliminaries with teammate Chris Myers at 2 p.m. Myers will also double in the 200-meter dash at 5:35 p.m.
All 12 Mountain Lions competing today will also be split among three 4x400-meter relay teams at 6:45 p.m.
Admission for the meet is free, and parking is suggested in Lot 169 north of Folsom Field.

3:05 p.m. - 60-meter dash finals (Liscar, Myers)
4:25 p.m. - 600-yard run (Aberle, Buchanan, Davis, Ford, Marsh, McCloskey, Ullom, Weeks, Whitman, Wright)
5:35 p.m. - 200-meter dash (Myers)
6:45 p.m. - 4x400-meter relay (Wright, Marsh, Buchanan, Ullom, Liscar, Whitman, Weeks, Myers, Ford, Davis, Aberle, McCloskey)
