COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's indoor track and field team was picked to finish with its best performance in program history at fifth in the 2012-13 RMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll released this morning. The Mountain Lions haven't finished higher than sixth since the program was started in the 2003-04 season.

UCCS will compete with a core distance group that placed No. 11 at the national cross country championships last month. The Mountain Lions return three All-RMAC performers from last season with Mike English, Jonathan Wright and Anthony Davis.

The Mountain Lions will open the indoor season at the CU Potts Invitational Jan. 18-19 at Balch Fieldhouse.
