Colvin Earns Spot on All-Academic Squad
NEW ORLEANS - UC-Colorado Springs national pole vault qualifier and RMAC indoor champion Alex Colvin earned a spot on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Women's Teams announced by the national office last week. The organization recognized 317 student-athletes from 82 schools.
Colvin finished her first season as a Mountain Lion with the No. 17 best vault in Division II this outdoor season and ranked No. 23 in the nation for the indoor season. She won the RMAC indoor championship to lead a 1-2 finish by UC-Colorado Springs in the event, and finished as the runner-up at the outdoor championships.
Colvin was an All-Central Region selection for both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic selection, student-athletes need a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and a provisional or automatic qualifying mark for the national championships.
