| August 3, 2012 | Colvin Earns Spot on All-Academic Squad | NEW ORLEANS – UC-Colorado Springs national pole vault qualifier and RMAC indoor champion Alex Colvin earned a spot on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Women's Teams announced by the national office last week. The organization recognized 317 student-athletes from 82 schools. | |
| December 10, 2011 | UCCS track & field opens season at Air Force Blue & Silver Open | COLORADO SPRINGS – The men’s 4 X 440 relay team knocked off Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference rivals Western State and Mesa State as the Mountain Lions opened their indoor track season Saturday at the Air Force Blue and Silver Open at the Cadet Fieldhouse. | |
| May 16, 2012 | Four Mountain Lions named to the 2012 DII USTFCCCA Outdoor Track & Field All-Region Teams | Colorado Springs, CO: The USTFCCCA Outdoor Track & Field 2012 All-Region Teams were announced today and that included four Mountain Lions receiving five honors. The RMAC Champion men's 4x400 team were named All-Region and those individuals included Anthony Davis, Mark Hensley, Travis Whitman, and Jonathan Wright. Jonathan Wright also received All-Region honors for his individual effort in the 400 meter dash. Women's Pole Vaulter Alex Colvin, who will be competing next week at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Pueblo, CO, was also named All-Region. | |
| August 3, 2012 | Women Earn All-Academic Status from USTFCCCA | NEW ORLEANS – UC-Colorado women's indoor and outdoor track and field teams were one of six RMAC teams and 83 teams in NCAA Division II to earn All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Mountain Lions earned the award after a team cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or greater. |
