FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Lauren Graham earned an automatic qualifying mark for nationals and, along with two other Mountain Lions, set a new school record as the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs track & field team competed at the Jack Christiansen Invitational, which was hosted by Colorado State University.

Graham cleared 4.01 meters in the pole vault which, while not as high as her mark in the indoor pole vault earlier this season, set a new school mark in the outdoor pole vault. It was also good enough to punch her ticket to the NCAA Division II National Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held May 26-28 in Turlock, Calif.

Graham also won her event Saturday, besting a field of 17 that included eight competitors from NCAA Division I schools.

Also reaching records were Jonathan Wright, who set a new school mark in the men's 200-meter dash, and Matt Feola, who tied the UCCS standard in the men's 110-meter hurdles.

Wright's time of 22.04 seconds not only earned him a school record, it placed him fourth in a 32-runner field and second among Division II runners. Feola's altitude-converted time was 15.85 seconds.

Wright also ran the 100-meter dash and placed eighth overall (third among D-II runners). Marc Hensley and Alan Ford finished fourth and ninth respectively among 22 runners in the 400. Anthony Davis gave UCCS a top-10 showing in the 800, taking eighth.

Josh Jones was the fastest of three Mountain Lions in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing fifth.

On the women's side, Emily Weeks had a mark of 5.18 meters in the long jump, which was good for fourth place among 17 competitors, and Erika Cushnie was seventh in the high jump at 1.60 meters.
