Graham named RMAC field athlete of the week
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs pole vaulter Lauren Graham was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of March 21-27.
Graham had a vault of 3.80 meters at the CSU-Pueblo Open on Saturday , which won the event and earned her a provisional qualifying mark for nationals.
This is Graham's third athlete of the week honor in her 2010-11 campaign as the sophomore from Lancaster, Calif., was recognized twice during the indoor season in the fall.
Graham has continued to stay hot this spring following a fall to remember. She was ranked No. 1 in the country at the end of the indoor season, and managed to place second at nationals.
Here in the spring, this athlete of the week honor comes shortly after being named RMAC Female Athlete of the Month for the month of February, the first time that any Mountain Lion has won the award.
