BOULDER, Colo. - Chelsea Overocker placed second in the triple jump Saturday for the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs as the Mountain Lions opened their outdoor track and field season at the University of Colorado Potts Invitational.

Overocker's mark of 11.08 meters was not only good enough for the Mountain Lion's best finish of the day, it also set a new school record. Also placing on the women's side was Alexa Urban, who came in fifth with her time of 59.38 in the 400-meter dash.

A good all-around day for the men was highlighted by the strong showing in the 800 meter run. Matt Winfrey (1:58.71), Chris Ullom (1:59.85) and Sean Turner (2:01.19) finished fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

Jonathan Wright, customarily a 200- and 400-meter participant, partook in the 100-meter dash and managed a sixth-place finish with his time of 11.21.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Marc Hensley, Anthony Davis, Ullom and Winfrey posted a time of 3:32.94 and earned a fifth place finish.

Hensley also participated in the 400-meter dash and finished seventh with his time of 49.69.

Brien Hopkins managed a fourth-place finish in the high jump with his mark of 5-10 and Robert McDougal came in fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.94.

Canyon Parcell had a good day at the Division-I invite as he placed sixth in two events, the long jump (6.03 meters) and Javelin (43.62 meters).
