Graham named RMAC field athlete of the week after climbing to No. 1 in nation

For the second time this season, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs pole vaulter Lauren Graham was named the Rocky mountain Athletic Conference's women's field athlete of the week, the RMAC announced Wednesday.

Graham moved into the top spot in Division II in the pole vault by clearing 4.06 meters (13 feet, 3.75 inches) at the Air Force Invitational. The vault earned her an automatic birth to nationals.

Graham's vault put her .05 meters ahead of Minnesota State's Lauren Stelten on the national performance chart. The closest RMAC vaulters are Adams State's Annelise Pradal and Western State's Airrie Robinson, who are tied for 10th on the national list at 3.65 meters.

It was the third time in her collegiate career that Graham had been named field athlete of the week for indoor track. The first was on Jan. 27, 2010 and the second was on Jan. 19, 2011. She also received the honor for outdoor track on March 31, 2010.

Graham was named All-American for outdoor track after her freshman year and was the RMAC Women's Track Freshman of the Year for both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
